dont see what's so scary about the pic, though i have to say, the one with the enlarging pic is pretty..freaky after a while. almost as though she's gonna pop out
but do that with other pics, there'll be a similar effect
overall, ill say its all in the mind. if you never read the descriptions and everything, i doubt there'll be a strong effect, if any
oh btw, the pic is pretty nice, and has a damn high resolution -
honestly if u see anything, thats because its an optical illusion brought about by the optical nerves fixing onto a fixed pt or something. My psychology-student flatmates could probably explain it better. One of their modules covers something like that. I remember they had to study a few such optical illusions.

i think the title does play a part in prepping the viewer for something scary.
what if the title was 'pretty girl pic' or 'lost art found'?
maybe the outcome would be different. that shows that our feelings and opinions are greatly influenced by how others react. -

The skeletal frame seems rather obvious, and it's not just the second picture. She needs more sleep. Too much dark eyecircles liao. Doesn't seem scary to me leh. Some people say that if you stare too long, then the eyes will become black. Hmm...
I still can't remember who she reminds me off.. I think it's somebody's pic I saw in Final Fantasy somewhere.. -

i thought this was featured in U zhou kan last week...? duhhh
it was rumoured that the girl in the picture committed suicide. her husband was an artist and had an affair. after the girl died, he felt very guilty and finished his painting of her, after which, he committed suicide too. the mistress found the picture, looked at it and committed suicide as well.
haha.
so the real artist of this painting was interviewed and he said he was amused that his painting was being circulated around with such a story.
whahahaha! sorry to crash all of your "oh...i'm so scared...she's freaking me out". the story is fake and the painting is nothing much. go stare at mona lisa. i think she's freakier. -

Okay, I apologize for being a complete idiot about the whole thing yesterday. I guess it was because I read it in the night, plus all the scary comments I read.
This morning as I read through the remaining comments it didn't seem half as scary anymore. The whole "evilness" about it just seemed to have disapeared. Apparently the story about the girl who drew it then commited sucide appears to be fake as well.

I guess that was what made me freak out about the entire thing yesterday. Initially I didn't think there was anything about the first picture at all, until I scrolled down to the 3rd picture, and then read the comments from both sources. -

This picture seems to do wonders on LCD screen
Here's how...from the center of the screen keep looking and move up till you looking down at the screen the angle is about 30 to 45 degrees. Do this in the direction down, left and right to see the colour change of the picture before your very eyes -
