will electricity bill be high if switch on comp 24/7

hmm...i always turn on my comp almost 24hrs a day. my mum keep complaining and nagging that electricity consumption is high.
Is it really that high? Is turning computer 24 hours a day takes up a lot of electricity...?
if on average a person switch on a computer for 24/7...wad would be the cost of bill like??

Simple. To prevent your mum scolding you, you go tell your mum the house every month electricity bill you pay then you will know how high liao lor -
