Refrigerator compressors don't run on thermostats, they run on cycles determine by the temperature you set it. If you set it cooler, the compressor will run longer, and vice versa. You can open your fridge door as much as you like, the compressor will only work harder at the next cycle to reach the temperature you set it to.

please tell us your comp isnt running a energy hungry 600w psu running SLI or dual core config with 4 HDDS and a p4 intel extreme edition.... if thats the case... leaving your com on 24/7.... your electricity bill will be over the roof

do u all switch off the main supply of ur tv when going to sleep? or jus off it using the remote leaving it in standby mode? heard tat constant on/off the main supply of the tv may cause the tv to spoil faster..

heard that when not in use, it's better to turn the main switch of the TV off.
