Gay doctor busted for drug possession

CNB officials posed as gay men and lured him into a rendez-vouz for sex with 2 men, where he was caught with drug possession.
Wonder why CNB thought that the gay forum would be a good place to catch drug abusers. -
his parents have to sell their house to pay $400,000 because he cannot fulfill his bond now.........
what a waste of a promising life......... -

I thought the main issue is not whether he's gay or straight, but whether the CNB overstepped its authority through excessive entrapment. And in this case I believe they did. I think no legitimate government has the right to entice its citizens to commit crimes. It's okay if the person is a known criminal and they need to amass evidence to put him away. But it's wrong to entrap someone who has never committed the crime before. If they wanted to catch the doctor for drug abuse it's fine by me, but if he never sold drugs before they shouldn't have employed such forceful methods to make him do it then prosecute him for it. In every society there are weak individuals who find it difficult to walk the narrow path on the right side of the law. The state should help such people stay the path, not lure them towards the fall.

Just saw an article in the New Paper...CNB busted a gay drug syndicate in March...maybe that's why they are all over the gay forums now. -

maybe doctors nowadays not earning much?
the notorious doctor in Bukit Batok Central, the one who was caught overprescribing cough medicine, set up a bubble tea stall next to his clinic during the recession

fcuk lah. next tiem act gay. go gay channel pretend u liek to get high on drugs and then physco the CNBs trappers to bring thiers out for some fun. otherwise dont meet.
and then go dial 999 tip off police says someone wans to sell u drugs at hotel 81. at what time. then u stay one far orner use binoculars see.
few hours later u will see a live CNB vs Police SWAT in action

but i still don agree with the techniques used by the police. i mean... where is the privacy.... its like luring a kid with a candy....and in the end...kidnap the kid.... i know ive given a bad example....hehehe....but im just not happy with the way they acted....

Maybe next time if anyone's husband or wife gets seduced by a third party who is very intent on getting him/her, we should forgive our spouse because he/she was exposed to 'excessive entrapment'.

I believe they must have some sort of tip-off and evidence on hand....they should have something on him thats why they are confident that their plan will work...and more importantly thru people like him...they can get information to bust the syndicates and suppliers....

so we can conveniently ignore that there are more straight people caught for drug use and abuse and distribution, and simply assume from ONE case that homosexuality is heavily connected to drug use.

perhaps he thought that being an intellectual "elite" he's on top of things and in control eh ? .... or perhaps he thought the law didn't apply to him ? ...
did he get his MD overseas ? ... I've seen plenty of Singaporeans go slightly nuts overseas ..... many of them just can't handle the kind of responsibility that comes with unbridled freedom .... casinos, pills, weed ... some of them had to go back broke and degreeless when the money ran out ..... tsk tsk tsk .... -
