Teen fads - what's with the stupid typing lingo?
- example: ii lurbbe euu, i LoVe YoU, thank, anyways, ok bah, i go liao, take care worx.. etc.
It's so f**king irritating and shows what good english singaporeans have, or how effective have the MOE has cultivated the use of more chinese, less english. (that's the stereotypical views of foreigners towards singaporeans.
and yes, i'll have to say at least 60% of singaporean youngsters are simply imbecilic, incompetent in the English language area; be it oral or written. mostly refered to those chinese-speaking schools, chinese-speaking families) -

i never understood how those worked until most people stopped using them...
i never figured out tHaT tHiS oNe was every other letter
as for the ones where they put in the odd chinese word at the end...i just CANT do it...
though i think its totally UNFAIR to say that

most people i know come from english speaking families and go to school like ACJC, RGS, RJC...
but they still type that way... -

idiots would add a few letters to lengthen it. for eg: eUu, lUrBeE, f*Ckk
Just to make their typing style stand out.

I believe that i can talk to u in english and in msn english.MANY TOO are able to type in (eh wads ur problemmmm say lar) also can type, could u clarify your problems with me? its UP to individual. If you are unable to understand, either blame your intelligence or tell the person to change his writing style. this is not a chinese affair. dun bring races in.

And I can't say I'm impressed with the spillover of such lingo into the academic arena.If you are one of those who cannot differentiate between usage modes, I think you should lay off the masticated lingo and start practising standard English.
