okay the think is do you really need a thumbdrive? if yo really need it for whatever purpose then why not look at it as you will fully utilize it for the purpose of the function. the returns is invaluable if you look at it in a different perspective. there are ppl who like to always change this change that...and see any best deal in town free gift will go and buy and dun really care if they need the item or not then go brag about how many cheap deals they got so aren't they wasting money also.
use the thumbdrive and use it wisely with care....that's every cent's worth

It's the same thing when you eat local dishes; if you eat Hokkien Mee in an airconditioned foodcourt, don't expect the same price in outdoor hot and humid hawker centers.
You paid over $70 because Challenger has a lot of staff and high rentals to cover. It's logical.
Next time, shop at Sim Lim Square. -

Yes, go Sim Lim Square and u can definitely get a lower price for everything..
Cus there r jus too many competitors ard, that's y we can get lower prices..
U must visit each and every shop (from storey 1 to 6) to ask for the price for the same item in order to find the lowest price..
Can bargain too.. (itÂ’s a MUST..)
ThatÂ’s what I always do..
Must be patient..
Although itÂ’s quite tiring, it gives satisfaction..

Recently, IÂ’ve jus bought an iPod nano 2GB from Sim Lim Square..
I paid $289 for it..
The cheapest I can find in Sim Lim Square (I hope IÂ’m right..)
Spent hrs running up and down just hope to get the lowest price..
Btw, highest price for an iPod nano 2GB IÂ’ve encountered is $348..
While the lowest is $289 (there might be shops which sell at a lower price)..
ThatÂ’s almost $60 difference..

Actually, in Sim Lim Square, you can pretty much buy anything at a good price at any shop you come by without shopping around much.
ALMOST all the shops there are selling IT stuff and gadgets cheaper than anywhere else.
Take for example the O2 XDA IIs PDA phone. Everywhere I looked outside of Sim Lim Square, it is well above S$1300.00. I bought my XDA IIs in Sim Lim Square and it's ONLY S$845.00!! I was so happy after that I went and have Sushi lunch!
I Hardly bargain in SIm Lim, I find stuff there are already dirt-cheap!
But sometimes, when things are too cheap, I get suspicious.. don't knwo whether reliable or is it a re-conditioned product or something... -
I bought my HP PDA at Funan IT Mall....@ $490..though i feel that SLS might sell cheaper, but i just wanna have some sense of security as it's more reliable n trustworthy....

Now, this new XDA IIs from Sim Lim at $845 works like a dream, and has so far not given me any nonsense at all! I'm just so delighted still!!

But i once heard from my fren that some hp shops actually refurbished the "Traded-In" phones n seal them in nicely done-up boxes n sell to consumers...
They still look very nice as though they're fresh from the factory... -
yeh loe that's why so many ppl buyin in second handphone where they go? if u want stuff withh warranty more expensive...some shops at SLS u can trust they giv u warranty voluntarily...though some promise 1-1 exchange within a month i dun trust that...Challenger at Funan gives warranty...and can at least guarantee the goods are not second hand refurnish ones.Originally posted by dcx:Then you heng lor...

which also brings back some memories...Dell used to seel very cheap laptops over at the U.S. However they openly declared that their units are refurnished at that moment in time. i still have a copy of the magazine that advertised that -

bought on hurry ? maybe when u wanna buy 1 thing, do some finding out or asking some of ur experience IT friends or to scout around shops before buying or to ask help frm anyone..haha
