more like the case of quit while the potential benefit < value of studies? Cos maybe now she know her standard and think more effort put in here will result in nothing much in the end so best to go back to her studies.It would be what i term quit while it is good since she has netted most of the benefits of a small amount of fame.
Also i am sick of how mediacorp always want to give some focus on her rich family,on how they work overseas and when meryl appear for her performance,there will be some camera shots on her mother.Must shoot her cos she is rich?So i think she quit now better if not later with her standard and keep progressing,she will be the next case of that previous edition SI top 10 (christopher is it? the one from CHC) where that guy was labelled as getting in cos of $$$ and being hated for it,so meryl is smarter to save some face for herself as well as getting the fame she wanted already. -

i feel meryl lee is using studies as an excuse. the main reason is she does not want to get knock out in the earlier stage - more like kiasu attitude to escape reality.
put this in a coming scenario:
pple will questioned, "Meryl might has won the sg idol if she never quit the contest halfway."
i feel that since majority callers/voters are female, most likely the male contestant has advantages to win these competition. just look at sg idol, star idol, superstar, whatever... winners are all male. so meryl will fail like the rest of the gals. -

the reason why some people dun make it in life is because they r afraid to try new things which might be of interest to them.

I think it's more like she see the glamour, the rabid support for contestants and the singing, all in all, the ego thing.
But what she didn't realise was the long practices, cheoreography, tight schedules and stress factor. She only saw the good, not the bad.
Plus now she in Wildcard round, aiyah, not worth it for her to do so much.

I think if she got into the official top 12, she wouldn't have quitted. She didn't expect to get eliminated at that point, and getting into the wildcards would mean she has to work even harder, no one likes to work too hard only to be eliminated again. Anyway, because of her quitting at this point of time, one more person lost a go at becoming singapore idol.

this is no joke man. study also no use..so many ppl study..ah kow ah niew also study better...too concentrated man....study so many year in the end most come out with the same cert...still have to squeeze fighting 4 job interviews
