It's so crappy! I mean, the judges - who are they getting judgement instructions from? And I hate the looks of Dick and his mannerism.
The competitors, out of so many, I can only see one who can REALLY sing, and have stage presence. Worst off, in American Idol they have a live band that can play any and every song, here we have this monotonous keyboard back ground music while competitors sing! It's torturous for me to watch it!!
I can see that almost all of the Singapore Idol competitors DO NOT know what kind of songs they should sing for the voices they possess. Unfortunately, all of the competitors voice are too "thin" to do justice to ANY song they choose!
I find in America, there are more potential Idols because the talent pool is larger. Why larger? Because there a lot of truly talented people there who simply sing, dance, act or play music in public, just to get by day by day from whatever public drops into their collection cup. I refer to basking.
Here, every single one of us, studies for straight A's the day they learn to walk, and work our life away in offices to pay taxes and bills. What talent can we hope to find? Or an Idol even???
In my opinion, it's just a commercial program aimed at making advertising bucks. That's all!
What idol?? Where's Taufik now???
Couldn't agree more.
Speaking of which, Does Singapore ever comes up with shows that are truely "Made in Singapore"?
Ken reminds me of Simon and Gurmit is Ryan Seacrest in the making.
Taufik is busy promoting 7-11.

Cheers.
