Putting on make-up in public

Guys and gals, what do you think of ladies who puts on make-up in public places like on a crowded mrt, or at the coffee shops?
I just saw one this morning, not the first time though. This lady (who was seated) whipped out her make-up bag, held up her mirror in one hand, while the other held the eye-lash curler to curl her lashes. Then she applied foundation, eye shadow, powder, curled her eyelashes somemore with mascara, then maybe finish with lipstick - all to the oblivion of the half-squash people crowded inside the mrt.
It used to be that proper etiquette dictates that real ladies will not do their private things in public, but maybe times have changed, since life is moving too fast and we're always short of time? What if it's your gf or wife who does it? -

I think its fine what, we move as society changes, and putting makeup in public is nothing to be ashamed what.
Anyway, on the train or bus, you have nothing to do anyway, so might as put makeup on the way to work/school and you can catch abit more sleep ma. -

We see women doing their makeup:
- While driving at a stop light.
- In a ferry ride
- At work
Who cares what society thinks. We have freedom and we do what we like to do.

I saw a lady do it on a bouble decker bus, don't know how she tahan the bus keep shaking.

Full makeup while sitting in the train takes some skill LOL I'd never be able to do that, too many damn brushes to wield.
Uhm.. personally I wouldn't do it lah, for basic reason that it looks unsightly LOL and I'd get powder on my neighbors.
But stuff like blotting, powdering nose and applying lip product is fine. -
I feel that its not nice/shameful to do private things infront of everyones ..
I ever saw a lady driver powdering her face every traffic stops and other middle ages lady appled lipstick when enquire me on somethings at my shop.
This show no respect at all and how shameless she is! -
saw it once on the train
some other acts that should occur in private but seen on trains or buses:
cut nails, paint nails, dig ear, dig nose.
So the least offensive is really put makeup. But its not a pleasant sight. -
they wanna show off their chioness, which is pretty much normal and healthy.

to me putting lip gloss is acceptable.
but not the full works la - mascara, concealer, foundation etc -
Grooming should always be done in your own privacy, imo.
I think if the lady waits until she's outside in public before she applies her make-up, it kinda hints that she's not one to really care about self-grooming, which is a form of courtesy towards the people you mingle with everyday. It's like a last minute thing, yah?
Should or should not aside, putting on make-up in public means you have to lug around all your cosmetics and expose them to the pollution outside.

not like putting on make up is some disgusting act. i'm fine with it i guess.
