You are talking about LOVE here.
LOVE, is a VERY strong feeling. When you already love a person, be it you as the man or she as the woman you love, anything happens before or after MARRIAGE, doesn't (and should not) change a thing about how you feel or how she feels about you.
In love, there is NO burden even when there is.
So, for instance, like if my wife suddenly becomes bed-ridden (choy choy choy touch wood) , I WILL still be taking care of her no matter how much I can earn! I have no heart to leave her to her own fate! How can I do that? I will never be able to live with myself!!!
LOVE, should NEVER have any conditions attached. Otherwise, there will be a lot of hardcore criminals out there without mothers who come to their court hearings for murdering someone. Love is love, doesn't matter what happens to you, or what wrongs you have done in life.

So lets say I say the following line like in a movie:
"Honey, go ahead with your life... I'm useless now.. don't waste your life with me.. I can't hold you back on my account. Please go and live your life without me.. forget about me.. "
It's almost like TITANIC!
And do you think, the woman/girl who GENUINELY loves you, will do what you tell her? Do you think that a mother of a man or girl, will abandon her child regardless of age when he or she is bed ridden??
I tell you this, LOVE is illogical and sees not in terms of practicality of reality. -

Internally, a mixture or emotions rolls in over you like the Tsunami, washing over & thrashing every organized thought and rationale you have so meticulously lived by all your life.
When the person you love finally expires, you feel COMPLETELY EMPTY. Utter VOIDNESS inside you. You will become so NUMB, an entire bottle of whisky or brandy, cannot knock you out. You simply puke your guts out, then start on another bottle again the whole night through.

Sharing life in a marriage or relationship, is a serious affair.
Because when a couple shares life, it also means either party must witness either party's demise.
So, the decision in a circumstance of becoming bed-ridden before or after ROM, is just the tip of an ICE-BERG everybody seems to claim to know.
But life can yield more PUNISHING scenarios than one might deem to know. -
Whether or not, you as the man or your other significant half becomes bed-ridden before or after ROM, doesn't matter. It's whether or not, the depth of each others' love for one another, is THE SAME or not.
Because like I've said, if she loves you deeply, she wouldn't mind commiting her whole life to looking after you. There are real life example out there. Plenty of them! -
i wouldnt want my honey to stay with me. i'd feel guilty. but if something like that happened to him i'd stay by his side.
