Hey guys, I have no doubt about my statement above.
Care to post any gd real life examples? Need not be some high flier or something, doing fine can already!
Me start....Got an ITE grad fren who's working as an operations exec in a Jap bank and earning more than $2,000. She's 27.
Another army ITE fren who works in a chemical firm and takes home about $2,000 plus with OT. He's 25.
Another ITE fren who works as a senior purchasing assistant with a German washing machine company. She's 33.
One thing I'm sure is that you will never see an ITE grad command a decent salary in the public sector. Thanks (or no thanks) to the local education system.
PS: After you post, pls do not feel shy to state ur highest education level. This is to see what pple of varying education levels here think.

ITE qualification is okay, but it all depends on the students. If they are motivated and passionate sure can have good future ahead, applies for everyone. Dun say i generalise all ITE ppl as unmotivated and passionless hor, stating example oni

yeah, the job postion name is just a way to make you sound important. For example, i have a job postion of Asst R & D Engineer, but my job scope is more of doing product testing or maintance of labs, its more of a lab tech, just that I have to do reports. They teach all the applicable skills, rather than theory and theory from textbooks.
In other countries, ITE cert is used as stepping stone to Poly or Uni.
Here, I heard can also... but your result has to be super super super good.
Overseas, easier.
But then... if you can get a good career and job with ITE cert alone, u may not need a degree. -
tong ren bu tong ming (same people with diff fate). There're also ITE, diploma and university grads who are jobless or with worse fates.
It's all about destiny. Education ranks as 5th influencing factor in your life:
1st
Your destiny
2nd Your current luck period
3rd fengshui
4th Karma, effort, doings
5th education

I understand, alot of those lowly-educated people (O levels, ITE) they have this "eagerness'' to prove that being lowly-educated is nothing bad and they may even have greater (or as great) future as those with higher qualifications. IMO, they're just an self-inferior bunch who needs others' approval.
Admit it, being low-grade is low-grade. In terms of qualifications, an O levels will NEVER be the same as an Oxford University grad. Stop decieving yourself. It's your destiny that matters most.

NTC-2 and above, preferable ITC, may be used for Employment Pass/PR application for nations like Australia and USA.
It should be equivalent to the Aussie TAFE diploma, but you need to ensure that your skill has a certification board over there, and that you meet the Qualifying English Test.
*Not many ITE graduates, especially those from the automotive repair and airconditioning sectors realise that they can actually work abroad in those places. -
I was in ITE taking up Certificate in Office Skills(COS) and suppose to continue my studies for Certificate in Business Studies(CBS) but due to the rumors of ITE has no future, I decided just to complete my COS and get a diploma in private school. Connected with the forums, do you mind how others think of you as I do mind during my school days and that's the result of my current state.
True facts: My friend who got a CBS cert only, her salary is higher than me right now.
I learnt a lesson, do not take the rumors and choose what is right for you.
About myself,
ITE grads, got a diploma 2 years ago. Tentatively planning for a degree.
