speaking about making wrong donations...
i was once walking on the road. then i saw some old lady who's walking towards me holding out her hands to ask me for some monetary rescue. i looked at her, and she was in perfect condition. no limping, no deafness, no dumbness, no symptoms of any sickness.. and she's even speaking so well in dialect. i didn't give her anything in the end. if she's in good condition, then she's well enuff to get a job.
as for your case, macross, that old lady can forget about receiving any help for faking.. let alone my case.

My friends have trouble selling it too. More like other friends coming down to support. I bought 5 for a friend too. I'm ex-student of the school.

I guess it depends on the item sold.
I didn't have so much trouble selling paper tulips during 'Tulip Day' for the Singapore Children Cancer Foundation.
The paper tulip looks really pretty even on it's own. It looks even nicer in a bunch and people buy a few of them.
As for chocolate, everyone have different preferences on flavours so it doesn't make sense for them to buy, even if it is for charity. -
