most of the cabbies interviewed by the papers said they are unhappy with the increase. what they want is lower rental and subsidies.

Let me say this to Delgro and all other cab operators:
The day will come, when you all have done enough of increases in Taxi fares and Taxi rentals to cab drivers, that you will have to instead reduce rentals so that PEOPLE, will come and drive your cabs.
The old generation of uncles and old men who have no other means to earn a living will now have no choice but to drive your cabs. When they all die off, the new generation will know driving your cabs can't make a living and so NO ONE will drive your cabs! Even as I speak now, there are drivers hanging up their car keys!
Just like the casinos in Singapore; when there are no more avenues, you all will have to make U-turns and make exceptions. -
it is obvious the cab operators are trying to make commuters pay for all the increases while they continue to enjoy good profits.

If you all look at The New Paper's survey on commuters opinions, you will see that almot 10 out of 10, will switch to MRT instead of cabs.
So, how does Delgro hope to "help" cab drivers income by increasing fares, and rental which will obviously chase away passengers?
Are they stupid, or what?
I think it all look very STUPID.
