Should you allow your puppy to run about the house freely? Or should you confine it?
They will feel that it's improper confinement when you lock 'em in the enclosure or cage. And thus, they'll bark and whine, and howl, etc. You could somehow sense that they're 'crying' and yelping; wanting badly for you to let 'em out.
It's like when I confined it in a cage; I couldn't sleep the whole night.
My pup's about 7 weeks old though. -
i confine it inside a bun.

let it roam freely but do designate a corner for it.....
but better get it toilet-trained first
and be prepared to change furniture -
ya agreed...or else have to mop the floor after they done their business...damn ma fan

puppy cannot lock in cage if not they will hate you, if must tie then you tie up in such a way he can move about in a 1m radius length
prepare to clean up urine spots when he/she grows up

if not, when u're out, the dog jump out of window or anyhow pee and poo ish ur daichi -
She's a smart dog and has already been potty-trained within a couple of days. Very very seldom will it poo anywhere else except on the laid newspapers.
It doesn't give me any trouble; as it only eats, sleeps and sh*ts all day. Not forgetting the playful nature of it.
And if it bites your hands; but not in an aggressive manner; it means it wants to play with you right? -

you can easily tell if its playful or aggressive, see if he goes into a pouncing position or shows his jaw
if show jaws means must back-off, my dog everytime pounce about after taking a bath
and no matter how well a dog is trained, once he reaches a certain age, he will urine to mark his territory -

she bites ur hand means she wants to bite smtng as her teeth r growing n itchy... get some leather bones for her. some squeeky toys n the tug-o-war thingy. when she wants attention, normally she'll play those toys wif herself 1st. but when she really wanna only bite smtng, let her be.... -

I reccomand keeping it in a claypot, when its naughty heat the pot up. Becareful though burn dog meat dont taste nice.

The last time i had a pekinese , my family allowed it to run ard , but he doesn't really run ard , only walk ard to find better places to slp lol . But personally , i woulkd recomend letting it run ard your house so that he can get enough excercise so that it doesn't get too fat . And it will stay lively also esp when he wanted someone to play woith him , he will run to you and play instead of having to bark n bark or whine to get attention . Think of it lor , how would like to be chained or confine in a cage and of cos you will get fat and then got pple saying wah so fat . must be having a gd life . Do you think thats fair ? Of course if got visiter ard who are scared of dog then we confine him lor else let him run ard lar . Which is a healtheir dog ? One which always run ard and very lively or one which always confine to an area and can't do any other thing except then to slp . You think lor .

there was once i saw in a pet store, 3 puppies in a small cage, so korlian

but start wif a small area first. too big an area it will be too much for the pup. and it tends to want more n more space as time goes by. -

The emotional stress and resentment will build up and it will grow up to be aggressive and hyperactive instead -
those small ones with thick fur let it run around the house very funny

when we first bought our dog
we let her run aruond the living room and the kitchen
she too small liao when she came..so we scare later she drop inside the toilet bowl or hide somewhere and end up we can't find her...
we tried constraining her to the kitchen to force her to poo and pee there..
but she keep barking..
didn't take her long to be paper-trained..i think less than 1 month..
now she run all over the house..but she know her limit lah -
i got an inconsiderated neighbour who tied up his puppy outside his front door. the poor dog kept barking n moaning in the middle of the nite.
he was lucky he gave away the dog away the next day, else i might reported the cruel case to spca.

Chocolates should keep your 7 month old puppy active....for awhile.
