Yes. Sony use memory stick if I'm not wrong. Get Nikon lah. Better choice.Originally posted by mikevalentine:Thanks all for your help so far.
Anyways, is it true that for if I purchase from Sony, then I will have to buy memory card from Sony too? And that it will be expensive?
And how much zoom do I need? I mean, how much is sufficient?
Of course if your choice is based on design, almost everything I say goes out the window.Originally posted by caver:PANASONIC FX01!!
The design is PERFECT! Rounded corners. Perfect size...not so thin/small and fragile like other brands. It looks like one cool gadget..and not like one of those boring silver colored digital cameras...which is just ugly.
Hmm... Don't threadstarter would want A430 because the preference seems to be for non-AA batt cameras (i.e;Li Batt)Originally posted by Manager433:Get Canon A430 or any A series. But you want to get Nikon, get L2 coolpix.
AA seems to be a better choice. If lets say the batteries go dead, u still can use another new AA size batteries to operate ur camera.Originally posted by SumOne:Hmm... Don't threadstarter would want A430 because the preference seems to be for non-AA batt cameras (i.e;Li Batt)

Agree with Manager433, Sony memory stick is expensive, so you gotta make sure they give you a decent amount of memory for free. Otherwise you might as well buy another brand that is already cheaper and gives you more than enough memory card memory.Originally posted by Manager433:Yes. Sony use memory stick if I'm not wrong. There's advantage in both. Li Batt have longer life in gen and allows response time of camera to be faster. Also, it's easier for camera to be slim if it's using Li batt, which I think is what the threadstarter wants.Originally posted by Manager433:AA seems to be a better choice.
