i always feel that the sentencing of DUI cases is always too light, especially when someone ended up dead.

Yes, the bus driver was wrong to knock down the cyclist and yes perhaps he should have gotten a heavier sentence. But I simply do not understand why many amateur and professional cyclists like to cycle along Lim Chu Kang Road during weekends. I've taken a bus along the road before during weekends and seen those hordes of cyclists clogging up the narrow road. It's really dangerous even if the cyclists take maximum precaution as the road is narrow and frequently traversed by heavy vehicles which often do speed regardless of the cyclists.

I dun know about Drunk Driving...maybe yes, Drunk Driving should be punished heavier...
but in the case of the cyclist...just say anything can happen on the road and the cyclist has no business on the road...it is an accident and very unfortunate one for both the cyclist and the bus driver. The bus driver does not feel good and most probably he will now have something weighing on his mind for the rest of his life....he did not drink nor i think he was reckless....it would be a disaster if he is being put behind bars for this.... -
