have u heard the 'SPLAT' sound the lizard makes when it drops off the ceiling and lands on the floor? its bloody sickening...
the home is supposed to be a shelter where you relax and de-stress, but for me its a place of constant fear, im always on full alert when im walking around the house, always looking into dark corners to watch for lizards that just wait to spring out at me like jack-in-the-box... -

actually, what you need to do is to deprive it of food... and they'll go away...
no insects.. and with that, you keep your house meticulously clean.. and after a while, no more insects, they'll move out.. -

I used to have this bad habit of leaving my cup unwashed overnight, on the coffee table, until one morning i awoke to find a lizard inside, struggling to get out.
i think it was dying too. in the end i murdered the lizard and dumped the whole cup.
lizards have this tendency to get squished inbetween the door and the hinge area at home too. we've found several corpses there already.
my home has patterned marble flooring, so sometimes when baby lizards explore the living room, i always have to tread carefully with my eyes peeled to make sure i don't step on one. I actually stepped on one before, the lizard head!.... my cat had mutilated one and left the head and the tail just centimeters away from each other. -

how to cure phobia of lizards? sometimes i pity them and i want to respect them and not harm them but whenever i see them all my sympathy for them vanishes and i feel only hatred for the lizards.

pick them up, realise that there is nothing to be afraid of... and that they are harmless..
they're just cold and dry.. like most reptiles.. -

like i mentioned in a previous post, when the lizards move super-fast i have got NO TIME to react or run away especially since they just LOVE running towards me. But for spiders and centipedes at least i can run faster than them and flee before they reach me, or even poke them at a distance. i think something must've happened to it. I can't explain how a cat that was nursed back to health as a skinny, dying kitten and grew up at home and was always so affectionate would suddenly disappear completely. I walked around the house area a few times, and to the adjacent street connected by the alley but my cat was nowhere in sight. I don't even hear it making battle cries at night.
i'll just keep the cat food... and hope that it will come back someday... -

spiders and centipedes on the other hand want to bite you and even if you run faster than them, they are not scared, they will eventually find you, unless you kill them -

3 yr old - mum found me by the corridor chewing happily. When she digged my mouth.. to her horror found a lizard head.. You can guess where the rest of the body is.. Hope she rinse my mouth with dettol..

Recent years. I dunno why lizards like to scare the hell out of me, especially in my toilet, which is using the draw type door. Once i drag the door open n walked out.. n felt someting drop in front of me, before i walked out d door..so i turned back n there.. lizard facing up on d floor struggling to turn over.
another time, not so lucky, dragged the door open, n someting fell on my arm. wet, slimy lizard. they just like to stay at the rim of d door n be hit when i drag d door open (maybe to peep at me in toilet....eee...) . the next day, i found it dead in toilet with many cuts n wounds on its body. Yucks.
a few days ago - lizard in the toilet.. when hiding behind the door... when drag d door, will take cover behind d door, moving together. I managed not to scream. Came out of toilet n wanted to take my clothes out from cupboard.. another one on d door, n ran inside, into my clothes!
Arrgh....
a few days ago, went to my frd's hse, n while walking to her flat, a lizard dropped from the ceiling in the corridor, onto her clothes hanger, n it can turn n twist n struggle to prevent itself from falling down from d thin thin metal. Damn disgusting white big lizard.
All of the above ended with me screaming n stamping my feet, but couldn't run.

next time must ask the guy u interested in whether he is afraid of lizard or not, if yes, straight away can strike out liao -
u know the rubber lizards they sell at toy shops? those scare the crap outta me whenever i see them i thought they are real lizards they even FEEL like one.

You have cat food but your neighbour (or others) give them better delicacies and the furry ball will just go for the better life.
With cats, you have to pamper them and then withstand their tantrum so if you love cats, then you have to live with their nonsense too.
Me ? I prefer dogs as they don't call them man's best friend for nothing, right ?
As for lizards, leave no food particles around and there should be no problems but there will still be unless your place is also insects free. Dry up your basins at night and close your toilet bowls too cos thats their watering hole at night when you are sleeping.
My place is quite free of lizards but I had a hard time when working in Thailand when I have to deal with huge lizards everyday. They are called tok-kay and they called out very loudly "Fcuk you" almost every night when you are sleeping.
They are ugly with rotten looking skins and the biggest ones I've seen are about 1 feet long. They can also claw and bite so be thankful for what we have in most homes here which is the common domestic lizards.
