Upper Sec Students, Do you like your Sub Combi? Why?

I hate my Subj Combi because I am good in Sciences but the school just wont give me take Pure. End up, I have sub sci.

Principles Of Accounts.
What you can choose is
E math or A math,
POA, D&T, F&N or Art
Pure Sci or Combined Sci.
Geography or History.
For my school they say,"If you want POA, you must also accept Geo,Sci(Chem/bio).
So it is very Important that you are in a good class when you are lower sec. For me, I am in the lousy class and therefore doesnt have the rights to choose the subject which I want.
My $2 worth
If you like business sort-of thing, POA is the right subject.
If you like energneering, D&T is the one.
If you like cooking, without saying is F&N
Have art talent, Do Art.
As for Science, Get the Pure ones.
Although Pure and Sub science have 2 differnet name, they actually have chapters in common. For Pure Science, it's just a few more details.
As for combined humanities, one of the subject is Social Studies(Complusory), and the other is Geo/His. In my opinion, Geo is more easier as compared to Hist. If you liked Social Studies in lower sec, mostly you'll like Hist. As for Geo, if you to know about global warming and stuff related to Farming and technology, factors concerning about plantation arigculture, this is the best. -

first phrase, do u think it is right for u to say that once u are in a lousy class, u cannot go to better class after ur promotion? u will be stuck there forever? the transition from sec 2 to sec 3 is a huge one, it is like a reshuffling to the students in each class. one of the way they do it is to grade u guys according to results, so don blame they school.Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:Subject Combination. Language: EL CL
If possible take 3 sciences -
I am a life example you know? I know everything about my sci(chem and bio). I dont feel anything wrong why I'm not given the Pure ones. I regretted why I didn't study hard enough when went for PSLE. wa lau eh bio can get damn damn cheem wid all those terms at times...then SS geog ..suffer in sec 3 like me fre now and score in sec4...EL CL shud be ok but my HCL get on my nevres at times....

I wanted to take
Bio Pure, Chem Pure, Music, Elective Geography, (2 Maths), (English&Chinese), (Others like SS)
ended up with Phy Pure no Bio, and History no Geography..
so sad because in the next year those combinations were available -
i am also a living example. i also know everything about my science. it is not only psle which can change ur life, ur sec 2 promotion exam should be the main factor for ur sub combi. if u are not giving then be it, study hard and get urself a A1 for ur combine science instead of a A2 for ur pure science. in the end, it is ur L1R5 in ur o lvl cert tt matters.....Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:I am a life example you know? btw u from north vista or swiss cottage? Your sch combi sounds like you are from either of these 2 schs.
btw I know nan hua peeps all taking tri science but one humans nia... all ended up complaining when they fared badly for humanities. -

hmm..if can arh..for sciences..go for pure phy n pure chem..if nt..take phy/chem combi..cos phy/chem will come in quite useful in ur future jc studies..unless ur into bio-related subs or modules in poly..den wad i recommend is pure bio..cos i feel tat bio itself veri xiong..
for maths..if can..aim for a maths..if nt..e maths will b sufficient..
humanities..e worst of all..if can take double humanities(1 combined + 1 pure)..cos if ur combined humanities sux..at least u still hav one pure humanities sub to help u..
language..cant say much..juz do ur best..
