Should sgforums be used as a platform to promote religion?

I noticed a lot of threads on religion sprouting out lately. Is it ethical? Is it legal? Should sgforums be used as a platform to promote one's religion for whatever reason? I personally think its not that good because such repeated threads on religion is tantamount to advertising and in certain cases, spam.
Perhaps a discussion thread would be ok, but not advertising ones that calls for unwanted attention. -
Why don't you post this topic in STOMP and see the response?

As long as religion topics posted are mend to serve as an informative source, FAQ or friendly discussion it should be tolerated. However, a no-go when it carry the purpose of soliciting in the message.

"Promote" religion is ok, but should be done at respective forums like EH, BWB, and so on. but argument against/for religion in forums like Chit Chat shld be kept to minimum. IMHO.

because some xtians in some forums come across too strongly, trying to convert others. -

I think it is alot of anti religion threads. Didn't see any threads that try to sell any religion yet.

I only see topics humtum-ing religion only what. And it's only Christianity kenna humtum one. They won't dare to touch Islam cuz they scared of Mr Osama.
They also dun dare to say Buddhism, cuz they are afraid of Ru Lai Shen Zhang.
