I don't think it is the issue of being rich or poor. But the mentality of such actions. Is it too much to ask if they were to at least line up properly and wait their turn?Originally posted by dark_snowboy:so you think people are rich like you?![]()

Even such a basic form of courtesy is too much much to ask of them, then wouldn't you agree it would be disgraceful?
yeah guess some of those "kiasus" may be richer than u or me... it's not how much money u have, but the kinda of behaviour one exhibit.. and what kinda of mindset drives such behaviour?? i'm kinda of mystified..Originally posted by Anycall:I don't think it is the issue of being rich or poor. I dun know much about the western countries, but when i was in bangkok, this is what i noticed: the traffic conditions and layout of the roads were expectedly worse than S'pore, but the drivers seemed much more patient (or perhaps resigned haha) & courteous. When the driver (private car) dropped us off somewhere in the middle of the road, the cars behind just waited patiently... apparently the culture is such that many others also alight at various junctions etc... if it was S'pore, u could bet the horns would be blasting offOriginally posted by zenden9:I know alot of sporean complains abt singapore bad road behaviour but I can tell you u will witness worst than here when u enter countries like Malaysia to drive! Thailand road is just like F1 playground. And India horrible traffic planning which road courteous is zero! Singapore traffic condition and behaviour is consider far, far, far better than what i mention....
Dude, you are right by saying there is very poor traffic planning in most of India but u r extremely wrong about the courteousness part man.. Trust me.. I have stayed there for more then 10 years.. =) You would have only seen for a few days.. I have seen it for years. Courteousness is way better in India then compared to Singapore. In fact the point of comparison doesn't arise. Period.Originally posted by zenden9:I know alot of sporean complains abt singapore bad road behaviour but I can tell you u will witness worst than here when u enter countries like Malaysia to drive!
