  ..... What is considered good music? Different people have different tastes. What's good to you may not be good to them. Take for example "Eminem", his music is classified as white trash, but to others, his songs are considered inspiring and not giving in.

  ..... I always believe that people who hum to the songs 10 years from now are considered good is rather myopic and non progressive. Take the song "18 & life" by Skid Row or " Sweet Child of mine" by Gun n Roses, both the songs were 10 over years but still very popular in the present times. That doesn't mean they are as good as say " BYOB" by SOD or "Wake me up before septemble end'' by Green Day. If you have listen to the latter two songs, they are indeed equally good if not better than the former.
  
  ..... People always said nowsaday songs really suxx, and they kept harping on the old songs. Did they actually make an effort to listen to the current batch of songs? They only listened to the radio and came to a narrow conclusion. Yes The Scorpion, Led Zepplin, Metallica and Megadeth were great bands, so do Foo fighter, Incubus, Staind and Audioslave of the present.

  actually, i've always thought scorpions suck...
  
  people forget the terrible older songs.. and remember the better older songs..
  
  now, we have so many crappy and a few good ones...
