Top dancer in new reality dance show will win $50,000 cash prize
SINGAPORE : MediaCorp TV's Channel 5 is calling for twinkle toes in its latest reality dance competition "The Dance Floor".
The one with the fanciest footwork will walk away with a whopping $50,000 cash prize.
MediaCorp Radio DJs Glenn Ong and Mark Van Cuylenburg will be the main hosts for the competition while Miss Singapore Universe 2006 runner-up Jade Seah will co-host.
Channel 5 says with the success of Singapore Idol, it's time to let Singaporeans showcase their dancing talents on national TV.
The panel of judges for "The Dance Floor", which is scheduled to telecast in January 2007, will be announced later.

I just dun like how the judges gif comments and how the TV makes the effect and make them look stupid.
It's such an insult to those who really hope to win and dance seriously even if its not very good.

Hundreds turn up to audition for Channel 5's 'The Dance Floor' competition
SINGAPORE : Hundreds turned up at *scape Youth Park on Saturday morning to take part in MediaCorp Channel 5's first reality dance competition.
15-year-old United World College students Rochelle Bakels and Krupa Gadani were the first in line.
"We both really wanted to be the first ones because we want to show how dedicated we are, and dancing is our passion. If we don't get through, it's not the end of the world. It'll be an experience. Everyone here is unique and good dancers," said 'The Dance Floor' contestant Rochelle Bakels.
They were just some of those who are vying for a place in Channel 5's 'The Dance Floor' competition.
And age was no barrier.
Sunny and Annie Tan, who are in their 60s, also auditioned. They planned to dance a waltz.
"I saw the news; the age limit is 65 so I'll try and see if I can beat the younger guys. I don't look old and I can dance (like the) young," said contestant Sunny Tan.
The winner stands to dance away with the top prize of $50,000.
