The standard of judging is ultimately poor.
Bill Calhoun's comments are too melodramatic without any technical background. I hardly think mediacorp hired him to be a stage actor. Being the only Ang Moh on the panel with extensive dance background, i expected much MUCH more from him, especially given his long resume.
Wong Li Lin (IMO) is surplus to requirements. She gives very superficial comments and does little to justify her hollow position on the panel.
George Chan? Sorry, a totally HOPELESS DUDE, regardless of his background.
Only Gladys Tay bothers to point out technical aspects and some subtle mistakes performed by the crews. She has my vote.
There are times though that i miss the objective criticism of Nigel Lythgoe.
As for the performers, my feel is that breakforce crew got in based on originality of their choreo as i felt their execution and timing could have been better. JDI made a mistake of mixing and matching moves that's been performed before. VAS and PRIS were my favourites for this shuffle round and they deservedly got the people's vote.
A little disappointed that Platnium and freestylerz won't be joining them. Hopefully there's a wildcard option to shuffle the best losers to get a couple back in.
Oh yeah....i really wonder why they need 3 hosts for this show too. ONE would have been good enough, but all 3 pale in comparison to one Catherine Elizabeth Deeley.

It's true what Nigel Lythgoe said about the general audience:"...once again it was about the type of dance performed....they want to be entertained. It's unfair to ask people to understand the technicalities of dance."
