Why is it in SG dramas..

....the "Good Woman " is always the meek woman who loves her family but is bullied by others. But the "Bad Woman " is usually a career woman who has several male employees that she often abuses?
Examples of SG Good Woman : Yaxi (Happy Fish ), Mei Ren Yu (Tong Xin Yuan ) , Jing Jing (Holland V )
Note: These women have no power over anyone , but they have a heart of gold.
Examples of SG Bad Woman: Xiang Yun (Happy Fish ), Da Chiew's Cousin (Tong Xin Yuan ), the woman who seduced Lana's dad (Happy Fish )
Note: These woman have power over certain people or a company and they care only about their own welfare.
Why like that?
Is it because Singaporeans are Chauvanists that's why we dun really agree to women in power (Therefore using MEdiacorp to potray them in a bad light )?
Why can't we have Power Women (Nu Chiang Ren ) to be good people, like in the U.S. Drama "Commander In Chief" ?

Yaxi of Happy Fish is a career woman, but is protrayed as a Good Woman only because she gave up her role in the Corporate world .

I used to think that this is perhaps THE reason why Mandarin and Cantonese shows everywhere will never reach an intellectual capacity acceptable for serious audiences.
Everyone of their movies and dramas are classic stereotypes of screaming mimis, finger pointing chinese women who gestulate and act the typical 'sam ba po'.
When the Infernal Affairs trilogy came out, i was so immensely impressed with the direction and class act that i really believed that they were finally moving in the right direction; that there was indeed substance and plot in such movies and it could well signal the end of the average (and poor tasting) love soaps of our generation.
While subsequent shows like 'So close' and 'initial D' may still lack some real quality, the acting has improved significantly. Still the general direction offers some optimism for the future.
With Hollywood suddenly finding themselves stagnated with a dearth of ideas, an explosion of re-makes have suddenly found sour taste among most worldwide viewership.
Hopefully, the Chinese movie and drama industry seizes the advantage. -
hmm...only examples from the 3 100-episode long dramas were quoted, which is not a fair judgement, cos 2 of them were written by the same scriptwriter.
