  I read a recently salary book that states the common starting salary of grad/non-grad. A grad fetch between 1,800- 2,200 on a general basis. However, still dependable on the field of study

  I tink it depends on the field of study and in general those salary guide book or online printed materials tend to blow up the figure a bit so take those figures with a pinch of salt.
  
  The sector you are in make a difference too. Are you in civil service? Foreign MNC? Or juz plain local SMEs?

  You should look for a job which you like, not one that pay a few hundreds more.
  
  If you earn 1100 and spend 900 per month, you will be richer than someone who earn 3000 and spend 3200 per month.
