Applies only if the foreign talent can provide the same value at the same salary. Although I must say that some employer might compromise on value by going for the one who ask for the lowest salary. -

now blue collar job hopping cant based on experience anymore, they job hopping, their pay will restart from the bottom already. this what my fren told me.
as for white collar jobs, their still considered lucky to be able to job hop with experience still playing a part in the bench-marking of how much they are worth.
but for normal employees...salary can only get lower and lower. as more cheaper yet skillful labours come in singapore, we have to lower our pay to remain competitive with the economy, if not you will be replaced by cheaper yet more skilful employees. -
i am a graduate from BSc.. but i'm currently working in engineering field.
totally not related, but i'm drawing quite a decent salary i think, considering i'm fresh..
i think it all depends on ur luck, the company u're working for, and also the degree of desperate-ness when u're seeking the job loh.. if u aren't desperate, den take ur time to find the job u like and with a decent starting salary.. -
