Anyone heard of South Gin? From the same maker of 42 Below.
Tempted to get a South Gin instead of Bombay Sapphire. -
Can anyone advise? Does it taste better or as good as Bombay Sapphire?

I reckon you're interested in buying the 'brands' and lesser of the interest in Mixology?
You see, it's really like selecting a good bottled wine. People can say and recommend the best, however, it may not have been your personal best.
The rest are drinking because it's has the 'best reviews' and 'recommended' which to me - is a safe bet.
Don't miss the appreciation of liquor knowledge and mixology.

btw, do you know that different liquor brands works for few specific cocktails? That is why bar knowledge have to be trained first.
Not all vodka/gin goes well with any cocktails. -

I know different brands got different tastes, but I thought that unflavored liquors should generally not taste much different when mixing c0cktails. I'm pretty new in this so I'm trying out stuff

South Gin will be slightly cheaper.
New brand liquors are always made to seem 'like' they are on the higher end. Eg. Absolute Vodka.
Infact till date, Absolute is still the high end category. Just that the new and trendy brands made Absolute look 'common'.
Marketing strategy works.
I've heard from my Bartender friends that B42 is a good vodka, so i suppose South Gin will make the drinkers happy too. (they won a few awards too)
Giorgio Ferrari is the distributor for Below 42 and South Gin.
I haven't seen South Gin in DFS of supermarkets yet.
However, i noticed that it will be best of you can get it from NZ or OZ duty free. Seems like it's cheapest from there.

So far, Smirnoff Vodka is my choice - compared to all other vodka brands. -
