does your parents disagree with the music you listen to?

they used to but ever since i started to include more rapping in my daily conversations, they grew numb to it.
a few years back, my mom hates the idea of my listening to hip-hop cause according to her, it pollutes my 'innocent' mind. the same way how her parents thought elvis would destroy her future, and how my great grand parents thought the beatles would ruin lives. it all came to be untrue as music evolves with time following drastic changes too quick for people to get used to. it certainly didn't 'ruin' her life.
right now, isn't everyone listening to hip-hop?
p,s i hate how conservative parents can be. blame it on our asian heritage..
it's a tall order for them to accept new things. -

They disagree to some of the music (for example hardcore, Post hardcore with screamo, some metalcore) I listen to, but they never like restrict me to never listen to them. That's why I tend to listen to softer music (like pop punk, classic rock, classical, soundtracks, punk) when they are around. If I am by myself hell breaks loose!
And no I don't listen to hip hop, not banging enough for me. -

i tell them dont. later i distracted and irritated then i'll bang the car.

I'm X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I blast the Vanishing Vision, Blue Blood albums when my mother is around and she doesn't really mind. lol.
I also get away with hogging the tv and sound system with Art of Life, the Last Live and X live with X Orchestra. -
