it's fun having a dad who likes the same music as you. My dad introduced Nothing Else Matters - Metallica and it became the first Metal song i heard.
Then he bought albums and i buy albums and we share, headbanging together. Emperor,Blind Guardian, Testament, Judas Priest...woo yea...reliving his rocker days

I am surprised fathers with rock music passion juz pass on their passion to their kids. That is indeed commendable! My dad introduced to me Beatles and Rolling Stones and to him they are considered the rebels of their era. For 70's ppl, bands like Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Scorpions, Twisted Sister, Queen, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow etc should be the norm for rockers.
80's is the true era of heavymetal with so many bands like Iron Maiden,Judas Priest, Metallica, Motorhead, Megadeth, Helloween and so many others.
My parents do not disagree with music I listen to cuz I close the room door while listening to the tapes. Yes cassette tapes during my era
