Does "Tai" means "Sugar" in Cantonese?

  Dai means bottom/under/base in canto... If you look at your kopi / kopi-o / teh / teh-o .. the sugar/condensed milk sinks to the bottom/base of the cup.. thus siew dai means less base.. means less sugar/milk.. some for the other way round of kar dai..
