Attitude? None... Cos it's like me found the thing me wanted, took it from the shelf, joined the queue to pay patiently...Originally posted by Cool-gal:hmm, im in the service and i dun treat ple by the way they dress. actually i dun reli like to approach those who dress very well coz they are mostly the ones who wont buy n are doing market survey. so TS, next time come find me buy things. i serve u good good. heehee.
maybe that day was a bad day for u and the cashier. izit u got show some attitude thats why kana treated like that?? i believe now in spore, very unlikely to be treated unfairly base on dressing, but more on attitude.
i'm in sales line, and i actually prefer customers who don't talk so much and know what they wantOriginally posted by dork3d:Attitude? None... Cos it's like me found the thing me wanted, took it from the shelf, joined the queue to pay patiently...
By the way, where you work? If fine, me can bring my wife down to shop also...

i hate it if i have to push a product, and its worse when i have to push it to someone who don't want it. and from experience , its usually people who talk a lot and ask a lot of questions that don't buy. people who need something or are really interested would only ask questions about the product they're buying or at least relevant ones like what else can match up to what they are going to buy.
hate those that come in to browse, have to serve 1-2 hours ask all sorts of irrelevant questions and end up with a "i'll consider first"
actually they got it partially right.Originally posted by ctstalin:Going the Extra Mile for Service (GEMS)???

haha.. i've heard about the japanese too.. very polite even when they dunno what to say..Originally posted by Tayysj:Hmm i'm kinda in service line too but hmm no comment from my line.
juz a comment from when i went overseas though.. compared to singapore, i dont think its a training thing or anything? its more of a personality? like how in japan if u asked someone on the street for directions they would treat u almost the same way as how the sales people in japanese shops in japan treat u.. and if they can't speak english and cant seem to communicate when u ask for directions they apologise PROFUSELY until we felt so guilty and feel so bad =/
so in singapore.. the salespeople are juz like the other citizens of singapore on the street. if u ask someone for directions he might just point and not even open his mouth or react.
