different parts charted and photographed by different satellites and agencies etc. the most high-resolution pics come from DigitalGlobe (look at the copyright somewhere centre bottom).. some mountains and huge forest areas are not photographed digital globe and so the highest resolution might be from terrametrics etc which would mean a blur image when you zoom in. other parts like some parts of the sea only have images from nasa (very low res).
even if you get google earth plus, it would still not be real-time. there's no real time version. anyway why? you want to spy on something?
3d onli applies in some areas (mostly popular USA areas especially the location of Google Headquarters)
some parts like tokyo japan appear 3d but is actually flat (cos the photos are not taken from directly above but from an angle in the first place) -
The pics are really cool. Never thought the drawing can be seen from space. A great way to use Goggle Earth, I have to say.
Perhaps the people who constructed the drawings were trying to attract the attention of some beings from space. Who knows? -

if anyone of you use google earth, zoom in to the coordinates given, see if u can find more of these carvings. the region is huge and theres alot of lines, its difficult to find the small drawings.
