Although I feel that the no one should not do this kind of things in the library or in the public, but i do think that it is just a small problem which had blown up. To the one who took the picture, what is your business in taking that picture and posting it online? To become famous, seeing that your name is credited as the one who MMS it to Stomp? For heaven sake, this is their own private matter. If there are privacy laws in singapore, you will have been sue your pants off for taking their pictures without any permission. If you think that it's immoral acts, then you should had ask them to stop, or inform the librarian, or just walk away. By posting online, wat do you wish to gain? Oh, telling people that you saw this happening, and you bu shuang that why do you do not get to do it.
We cant prevent all this from happening because the moral values in human is changing faster then what the human mind could catch up. How many times in the newspaper that reported on teenage sex is that, when they interview the parents if they do talk to their kids about sex, and they replied that they do not really talk about it. And they expect the school teachers to teach them on behalf. I mean, wtf, is the teachers closer to your kids then to you? To put it bluntly, the teachers are not paid to teach all this, they are only paid to teach the required subjects that NIE had teached them. Whether your kids engaged in pre marital sex is none of their business. The most they can do is let them know the consequences of pre marital sex.
We have to admit that people are more open minded then 10 or 20 years ago. A lot of things that were frown on in the 80s and 90s are now taken as a norm in the this age. Parents can choose to pretend that they are still living in that age, and condemned all who do it. Or they can accept the changes and try to talk to their kids more.
We had seen a lot of cases in newpapers that teens between the age of 15 - 18 are having sex. In the future, we might seen more cases involving even younger teens, maybe from the age of 12 - 14.
I had advised some of my younger friends that if they wishes to engage in pre martial sex, please do use protection. The saying of "Saving for the future" is no longer working. Now, the saying should be "If you wanted to do it, please use some protection."
