Italy I had no problems, France - I was spitted upon onto my jacket while in a boat ride passing under a bridge...but i dun know that is more a prank or based to the fact i am asian haha....
Perth - my fren, a girl, was asked by some locals there "Eh how much?" like a prostitute would get asked, while she was walking on the road one night. I was slightly ahead of her and she was wearing normal t shirt and jeans but got asked anyway. -

come and sit that place
immediately they stand and go sit in other place
or stand in front of them
Always I saw the empty seats near
bangala, malay, indian ppl even crowd also
some hawker centre and chinese eating outlets,
customer from other races enter,
the dishes served like throw wastes
price different
all here also doing la
here chinese are doing others suffer
other place they are doing chinese suffer
where ever majority always
disturb minority
this fact pls accept it

my sis studied in australia, and she and just about anyone else I know, be it for studies of holiday, had some unpleasant racial accidents there ....
so I decided to go somewhere else .... then I realized it's everywhere ...
ah well ... makes you a better stronger person in the end eh ? ... and makes you consious of how minorities must feel in Singapore, no ? ... -
I must be extremely lucky. Europe, US and Australia for the past 12 years and not a single incident.
Just this afternoon, I nicked outside a shopping arcade for a smoke while I was waiting for my takeaway, and I struck up a nice conversation with an old bloke who'd quit BP to become an artist.
I'd disagree with the "How are you" thing. Many a time I've said, "Good, thanks - and you?" and ended up chatting for the next half hour or so.
The closest I've ever been to such a situation is when a young lass came up to me and said, "Ni hao ma?". I replied, "Yeah, I'm all right - how ya goin'?". She looked puzzled and walked away. Go figure. -
