Isn't amazing that they (Indonesians) can live with all that smog and haze year in year out when the winds didn't blow it elsewhere...??

In the 1st place, those that never started any of the fire and never profitted from any of the lumbering and plantation businesses are themselves suffering from the haze and bad air pollution.
In fact, they get it 1st hand a.k.a higher concentration of those. Now come out this idiot, who wished them death for something they did not do and are already suffering? -
I think Asean should impose a fine on countries that violate the environmental law and upsets the balance of a healthy environment so that the respective party and the goevernment will take iimediate actions to stop all this rubbish

i've got relatives living in the Riau, u tink they dun want the haze to go away? they are breathing in air that is many times more poisonous than the one we singaporeans are breathing in -

From the news, turns out that big companies were the main culprit of the haze. For industrial purposes, they cut off trees illegally and burnt the forest for fear police will track the evidence of them cutting trees.
So it's unfair to blame the whole country. The locals, esp villagers who live near the forest, are also suffering breathing difficulties and the intense heat of white smoke. -
Then Indonesian authorities should clamp down hard on these selfish large companies, revoked the licenses and ban them from operating again, at the same time the reigion's countries should claim damages from these said large companies. It's not the common indo's fault that this haze is here. It's the provincial govt officials who are not doing their bit to prevent the fires. A tsunami can cause a lot of innocent people to be homeless and dead.
