What's wrong with starting your own business? If you want an easy life, leaves, holidays, bonus, no worries, then by all means, continue to be an employee until the day you die.Originally posted by :I agree with FireIce. Doing your own business is not easy. It looks easy but it in fact is tough as hell. Easy to say start small. In fact, the smaller your business, the harder you work. Too small a business with no/ little funds, you can't employ pple. End up, u do everything. It's 24/7. No holidays, no leave...... Work for other pple is different wor. 8 or 9 to 5 or 6, mebbe a bit of ot here & there. Got leave, can take mc. If u run a biz and fall sick, no such thing as mc. See doctor, means $. Dun open for biz means jia kaki. Oso u think that wenu run your own biz= no bosses? If u really think so, U r completely wrong. U'll have even more bosses as every customer is your boss and u have to please every single one with very different character. Think so easy to run your own biz.......? Wake up lah........![]()

hes saying hes a big boss himself and to be like him, its tough and needsOriginally posted by kaister:What's wrong with starting your own business? If you want an easy life, leaves, holidays, bonus, no worries, then by all means, continue to be an employee until the day you die.
If you can't see beyond the immediate problems and cannot bring yourself to suffer a little in exchange for a greater, better life in the future, perhaps you're the employee material, destined to work under others forever.
Not that there's anything wrong with it but bosses do need employees like you to slave their life away for them while they earn big bucks. So please, do the economy a favour and don't wake up from your idea. Cos' we need dedicated workers like you.
In my opinion, if you have the desire to go for it, just do it! Don't wait till you're old and start saying things like could've, might've and would've.
it's good to have dreams and dare to take risksOriginally posted by kaister:In my opinion, if you have the desire to go for it, just do it! Don't wait till you're old and start saying things like could've, might've and would've.

lot of intelligences, luck and opportunities leads...
and he had managed to accomplish a feat
which was not easy and he can't be defeat
cos his fleets(big boss of a container ship)
serve his needs
just like eating an expensive steak
I agree! But to be your own boss doesn't mean you have to take big risks and go bankrupt. One can take small steps and be sensible.Originally posted by FireIce:it's good to have dreams and dare to take risks
just dun end up when u are bankrupt and start saying things like i shouldn't have (done something that i dont know about), didn't have (enough experience) and ought to have (just go for something comfortable to myself)
wow i wish i got a mouth like yours, reallyOriginally posted by ShutterBug:A lot of businesses now a days, are run very technically and very tactically. Yes, it is good, they are efficient. But why do they lose customers to other businesses?
Answer: Service Standards
One thing alone, is the true indgredient in making your business succeed: Standard of Service.
Many out there, just focus on marketing, prospecting, and then closing the sale. After that, the customer is quickly forgotten.
Another type, is the successful business or company; I take Borneo Motors fopr example. They are experiencing good performance, doing well. But their sale personnel on the showroom floor are like cancer cells; very poor sales attitude & awful service attitude at their service center. If another player comes into the market that sells good cars at competitive prices, they are going to be abandoned by their clients.
You can work 24/7, but run your operation too cold and technical focusing only on the bottom line, it isn't going to go far.
Money is one thing, I started with NOTHING. NO MONEY AT ALL. Just my mouth.
This much I wish to share.
My advice is ask yourself do you want to be a worker or a managing director in an organization. If you think you like that kind of job as a managing director (reach organization targets, strategies to hit targets, employee's satisfaction, innovation, resources allocation, threats from competitors ...and so on and so fo) then go ahead. Because even if you get to earn a lot in the first month, can you substain it?Originally posted by picmonster:don't know what to do at the junction
let's hear opinions from people
