Revolted by what I saw on the MRT today.

Well this would probably be a pretty common thing to most of your, but what I saw this morning on the train really enraged me.
I was taking the train from Bishan down to City Hall around noon today, and the train was quite packed. Most of the teenagers and young adults were standing, with majority of the seats taken up by middle-aged adults, and about 3 seats taken up by senior citizens.
Anyway, here's the thing which really got me mad. About two stops later when an 70 - 80 year old woman came in, I was pitying the poor woman and wondering if anyone was going to give their seats up. Fortunately a pregnant woman saw that she was quite weak in the legs, and was quite quick to give her seat up for her after realizing no one else would, even though she needed the seat quite badly.
But well, this part was equally bad as well. At the next stop, someone just in front of me got off her seat and alighted. I didn't take the seat because (naturally) I expected that everyone else in the train would've let the pregnant lady take it, and I think she thought so too. But just before she reached, a 30+ year old man took the seat. Okay so maybe he was a little bit plump, but undoubtly that woman needed the seat more than I did.
I was almost about to scold him, especially because he was right in front of me and kept looking at me, but he noticed that my bag was unzipped, and told me with a very pleasant smile on his face, which made me reconsider whether to scold him or not. I didn't in the end.
About another 2 stops later, the elderly woman got off, returned the seat to the pregnant lady and thanked her before alighting from the train.
Out of the 18 seats on both sides, 15 of the people sitting on them were healthy enough to stand without any problems. Yet it took a pregnant lady to give her seat up to someone else who needed the seat as much as she did? Worst yet, someone can even steal a seat from the pregnant lady AFTER she gracefully gave her seat up to the elderly woman. Worst still, he can notice that my bag is unzipped, but he can't see a pregnant lady just about 2 metres away from him. Honestly, I can't believe those people sitting on the seats had no shame at all. Selfish little assholes who only think about themselves and can't be bothered to see what's going on around them. -
Bad luck. Friday the 13th for the lady, that man was blind.
no but seriously i would have kindly asked him to give up his seat for the pregnant lady. Nicely of course.
If you haven't already tried it you'll be surprised at how obliging most people are. -

True; while typing this post I was acutally wondering how come I didn't ask him nicely. I am always revolted by fat men and people with odours in the MRT
Fat men/boys always take up 1.5seats. And they always squeeze into the smallest space thinking they are supermodel thin. Fat men/boys also always have a sweaty smell or strange smells because they perspire alot. I cannot stand the stench. When they take up .5 of your seat and they also like to talk about army stuff pointing here and there, bumping into little old you.. Damn DU LAN LOR
FAT Men and FAT Boys out there, those meat on you are not muscles! They are oil and you roll around in your fat arse and roll over people in neighbouring seats.
And you have FAT Smell! Shower more Often! F! Ever time have Fat Buay Zi Dong Fat Men/Boys take up seat and never give seat to old/preggies/ in fact always take up 1.5 to 2 seats! Old people/preggies stand and look at them, they also Buay Zi Dong! -

me sometimes got squeezed, in the end i have to squeeze myself cuz the ppl beside me dam skinny with their short leg wide open to show off their short leg and poor me with fat thigh have to squeeze together and made my ****
forced to place above my thigh........ fat ppl has difficulty one also hor
smelly so wat, fat and skinny sweat, our oil smelly not we wan mah, like ur forced to fart and everyone look at u and someone scold u that ur fart very smelly and accused that u ate shiit this morning, happy?
we can control our body not our sweat ok, dont flame flame flame, u not shuang we also not shuang, how i hope u could become a big fat shiit and have a taste of being fat and ppl scolding u like a worthless thing.

today a FAT BOY Took .5 of my seat. Then he think he got big dick open his leg so big till I have no space to even put my leg properly! Then one uncle very fat, opposite so many seat, must die die sit beside me. I get squeesze between 2 FAT BOYS! I Hate FAT BOY/Men! !!! WHY extra exercise in Army still cannot slim down!!!!
Let me do something good for you Fat Men! You girl friend may like your rolls, but I damn DU LAN Everyday run into FAT Men and FAt BoYs who think they muscle. I show them my muscle then they cry! DU LAN to the Max! FFFFFFF!

I saw the same thing on the train a couple o' days ago. It's a pretty common sight nowadays.

Since the man told u that your bag is unzipped in a friendly way, you should have told him back in a sarcastic manner with a smile of course something like, "I think she needs the seat more than you do."

sometimes people do not take note of who's coming in and out of the trains you know.
the MRT is a form of transport.
not a duty to look out who's coming in and out.
so i think if u told him politely there's a pregnant lady somewhere i'm sure he would offer his seat.
