If it's from Vietnam, then $150 is for sure overpriced.... production cost probably Sing $5 - 10 only...Originally posted by ölala:even a $100+ Clarks Scandal is made in Vietnam as well![]()
Hey, nike shoes are made in malaysia, china, korea, and vietnam, but no one's complaining.Originally posted by ptcm888:If it's from Vietnam, then $150 is for sure overpriced.... production cost probably Sing $5 - 10 only...
How about that funny logo ? Is that a cartoon charater ?
you're 100% correct because Nike is a much better brand than Crumpler. Crumpler is not ready to charge that kind of premium in my opinion.Originally posted by ditzy:Hey, nike shoes are made in malaysia, china, korea, and vietnam, but no one's complaining.![]()
Wow, what a sweeping statement.Originally posted by ptcm888:you're 100% correct because Nike is a much better brand than Crumpler. Crumpler is not ready to charge that kind of premium in my opinion.
This type of low-cost nylon is worthless. Not much resell value.
But I do have to say that the design of their shoulder strap and that plastic seat belt looking buckle thing is good.Originally posted by ditzy:Wow, what a sweeping statement.I only have issues with the kwiklock straps and velcro combination.

But it could do with an extra clip to hold the excess length, coz we don't have ang mor sized height.Originally posted by ptcm888:But I do have to say that the design of their shoulder strap and that plastic seat belt looking buckle thing is good.

so how much do you think the production cost is for this kind of Sing $150 Nylon bag ? $10 $Sing or even less ?Originally posted by Ponders:hmm.. i am working in Textile industry, they all use those terms to sell you bags
saying their bag is 1000-tex nylon, 1000-denier nylon, etc...
you tell this to a textile technician.. they can only laugh till stomach ache.
But really in Vietnam there are a few bag makers making alot of bags for different brands. There is no such thing as "Nike Factory" or "Crumpler Factory" there. There is only some Phouan Nac dong Ci Nam or some simliar sounding factories.
And tell you, if you know how much it is to produce one bag, and you see the price tag in Singaproe. You can swear for eternal life you never want to buy bags anymore.
I make Golf gloves for American/European brands (Dunlop is one example). In singapore, their glove sells for $60-80.... it only cost me about $3.50-$5 per glove. Think about it.
