give you the raw materials pricing....
Nylon fibres (to which you later process into yarn and into cloth). is roughly S$1.50 to $2 a kg. (market is selling at US$0.8 to $1.3/kg depending on quality, etc)
100% Nylon yarn (depending on "tex" or thickness), is about US$200-$260 per 181.44kg (yarn is sold in Bales or 400 lbs(181.44kg). So in short, it is about S$2.40/kg.
Yarn is weaved into cloth, at this point, the pricing varies too much. But for the "1000-denier" density nylon as advertised.. is about US$4-6 per 10 yards (2 yds wide).
A normal crumpler bag shouldn't take more than 2 by 2 yards of material.
Labour cost in vietnam, i would say.. maximum $5 per 8 hour shift.
Sewing 1 crumpler bag... worse case scenario.... 45 minutes.
Add about 20-30% to that price for overheads like electricity, etc....
Go figure...
