the govt are trying to convince singaporeans that the economy is doing very well and there are plenty of jobs for everyone. older workers are not discriminated. we need foreign talents and the influx is reasonable and necessary. but what do suicides tell you?
people will have doubts if we see frequent reports of suicides because of shortage of work and money. -

but I guess it is not against any procedure to use your own money to help her .. you even help the police force to score point with the public.
I suspect the police who visited her did not know the full story then. They were probably quite surprised when the woman told them she has no money to even take public transport. When we are in doubt, we tend to be more careful with our decisions. -

Best way is to follow procedures, so i could 'push' all who complaint to my boss.... the S'porean way of life.

TRAIN services were disrupted for a short while last night after a man was fatally hit by a train.
Closed-circuit cameras at the Chinese Garden MRT station reportedly captured the man flinging himself into the path of an oncoming train.
The man, in his mid-40s, was alone at the station platform at 10.10pm, the police said. He was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt and dark shorts at the time.
The CCTV footage has been handed over to the police, said SMRT officials. The police are investigating.
Those travelling on the train - which was moving at a speed of over 50kmh - said they felt it hit something and screech to a stop. At the same time, the lights in some sections of the train went out.
Said polytechnic student Ricky Ong, 20: 'We didn't realise it was anything serious. We just thought the train had broken down.'
Passengers were led to the front of the train and let out.
Train services between Jurong East and Boon Lay MRT stations were disrupted for about an hour. About 5,000 people were travelling between these points during this time. By 10.45pm, SMRT had arranged for buses to ferry stranded commuters between these points.
Passengers who were unable to complete their journey can claim a refund from any of the 51 SMRT stations within the next three working days.

this is the most common sign that a family is facing financial troubles.
the fact that they have not paid school fees should be enough cause for concern. -

none of his church mates, friends, siblings, neighbours and children's school and school mates etc noticed that his family is in serious need of financial help?
are singaporeans really so obsessed in their own problems that they are oblivious of whats going on around them?
