Hey, i don't mean to be rude, but if u are serious abt reaping rewards for your monies the last place that u should be lookng for proper advice is in a forum like these. There are plenty of ways to reap returns on invesments, but u will need to consider the initial outlay and 'locking in' costs incolved in the various investments.
The key here is to balance the expected rate of returns for each option with the accompanying financial risks that it entail. Assuming that u are risk adverse, u would want a higher rate of return for investmens with higher risks. -

The best way to grow $$ to me is building your own business... if u do it well, u can hv your $$ back within 3mths, and the rest are juz bonus... To mention other benefits like passive income, improving pple's standard of living, providing jobs opportunities for pple etc. and many more~ haha

BTW... I so bad in stocks that i lose 50% of my original capital on penny shares! BUt I'll be back... same... waiting for correction

If I go for professional advice, they are generally good, but at the back of their mind, they are still asking you to buy something. Quota, quota, quota....
So I feel this place is good, because so far, no one has ask me to buy his/her service (yet).
One even suggested to invest in luxury watch which his/her dad had profited. If I go to a fund manager, he will ask me to look at his luxury watch. Got it? -

I had set this to be 30% off the current STI index before I will look at stocks. So, a wait of up to 3 years (or even longer) is possible. -

When they are under pressure, they will look for businesses not related to their core strength.
And if that happens, they will soon lose their orginal passion of what they like doing.
If I let my rojak chefs to drive Mercedes, investor will say misuse of company funds. If I want to close shop for 10 days during CNY, they says it will be bad for this quarter reporting. Then, heck, where got life? -

89k for a LT investment isnt that much, financially speaking. What kinda risks are u prepared to take? How long can you wait for your funds to mature? Why not buy 3 years bills with a coupon of an average of 4-7% semi annually with a 2% yield at many finanical instituitions. If you want the funds to mature substantially in form of financial instruments, Merril Lynch has a Bond cum Future instrument for any amounts above 50k with coupon rates as much as 9-12.5%. that's right.. 12.5%... i am in no position to be affiliated to ML or other finanical instituitions..just watching the industry atm..
