  lol...wait till you bump onto someone who has knowledge/evil intentions such as to sniff your whatever passwords and take down your systems. you may be happily accessing their network and at the same time having your systems scanned by them with all your av/own nuude pix downloaded. LOL

  actually depends on how the police track you down. if they plant spyware in the mp3 you download, whatever you do is useless...
  if they use a torrent client to scan thru all the local ip and start tracing its owner, you can avoid being detacted by using a oversea proxy...but the downloading will be so slow that i suggest you dun waste your time downloading.....
  But, please DO NOT download at MacDonald thinking you are safe....
  IMO, if you have tons of downloaded mp3/softwares in your harddisk, you better stop downloading....if you are caught, that's it.....its gonna cost a bomb

  actually they trace u by checking on the "peer to peer" download system. So as long as u dun send songs through msn, download using limewire or wat so ever and of course bit torrent (harder to detect). You won't be in much danger i suppose.

  Totally rubbish. Why the heck do you think you need to register your email address? And even if you gave a fake one, you think there's no such thing as a hardware address?
  
  No matter how hard you try to fake something, there is definitely something that will point to you.
  
  Whoever thinks by hopping through numerous servers will make you anonymous, think again. It's not very hard to trace if the necessary tools are available. It only makes a noob hard to trace you, not experts.
  
  And free wireless.... as again, hardware addresses leave traces everywhere they go.
