i really missed back in the days when my family was comfortable enuff to stay in landed property. one day i swear i would get my family out of the slums i been staying in now.
i miss staying in a real home, instead of old estate HDB.

dun mean to speak bad of indian people, most indian people i know are really great people. just that i think if we were do live under the same roof, conflicts will arise.
e.g; indians like powder smell and chinese hates it.
indians like to open windows really wide and chinese tends to close them etc etc.
once a while its ok... but everyday also like that...
p.s i have female family love ones to worry about too. -

i got 2 colleagues from india.. they'd cook their curry at home den bring down to work n eat for lunch..
everytime i smell nia.. start drooling liao

but to smell curry + indian spices + indian BO EVERYDAY. thats a different issue. 5 year ago when i shifted house, i find the curry aroma refreshing. now its curry smell.
notice the difference between curry aroma and curry smell...lol
and my indian neighbours tend to make the curry damn "gao" or thick. making us choke at the smell of curry.
Go on, smell curry, for the 1st month its refreshing. 5 years later, we shall see whether do u still like curry "aroma" in our house or not?
makes me cough because of the thickness of curry they make. oh, i shall not mention their smoking habits too. cheers, not all indians smoke. but all indian uncles smoke. -
Yeah I understand how you feel, coz I stay beside this Indian family who are Indian FTs from India. I am not being racist but these are just mere facts that I experienced.
Smell is overpowering and I mean overpowering. The entire flat exudes a very pungent stale smell even as one walks past it. At 7pm every night, they'd burn this incense which will smoke the entire flat and I could smell it from my room. It smells really spicy and unbearable. But sometimes I do appreciate the really nice curry smell, although at unearthly hours of 5am. Their 4yo daughter screams practically the whole day. And she is apparently too precious for her parents to give one tight slap to. They drew this pattern on the floor using chalk or some material that is washable and then place a chair at the end of it. So anyone walking past their flat has to like walk big steps to avoid it.
Other than that, they are ok. And my other next-door neighbour are PRCs. Damn. Multi-national. -

most parents find their kids too precious for them to even lightly smack them...
not to mention slap..
and the worse of the lot = chinese kids -
last time one of my neighbor is an indian...then quite a big family oso , esp when their aunts and uncles came to visit...
one thing i hate about them is the music they on until very loud...until the whole corridor can hear them...
then the kids also very noisy, they like to ride bikes across the corridor, even if the corridor is right in front of other ppl's houses...then if you have vases you put next to your house, maybe when they are riding they will knock down those vases
they also urinate all over the staircases, then when you brought this issue to their mom, the mom will of cos side with the sons and denied them ever doing that...even tho got ppl who have evidences... -

One of my uncle who drive a taxi say he avoids picking up those old Indian woman with wet market loads.Why?Very smelly -
You guys really have the luck living beside the very traditional indian families
Now I have to see how my indian neighbour kid turns out to be like. She just gave birth and the baby is extremely quiet so far but might be different when she's a toddler
My neighbour basically keep to themselves and even during Deepavali the noise was kept at a minimum though there is always the curry smell reeking out of their house but hey, it doesn't get into my house so I have no issues.
Malay neighbour also extremely quiet, even during Hari Raya very different from the Malay family at my mum's place which is like
2 Chinese families are stuck in a corner and basically keep to themselves too And yes, we keep to ourselves as well -
indian has a strong smell of jasmine flower too.
basically, i dun reli like indians, sorry..
but bcoz i think they are quite rude. -

others are just common sense.. u dun do them whether ur neighbour is chinese indian malay eurasians caucasians or cats or dogs..
and for some points... the neighbour happens to be an indian family.. i've seen some chinese behaving like that too...
and as for the food.. curry is nice.. i smell curry every day at 1 of the places i used to live in..
i dun like it when ppl erm.. fry(?) chilli tho... makes my eyes water and i'd start coughin like mad..
when my mother do that for her curry, i'd close my door =X -

indians like planting a lot of herbs outside their flats rite? like lemongrass, gignger, lemon leaf, curry leaf, laksa leaf, onion, etc... for cooking one
den if u need some for cooking, can get from them/.....extra fresh + free somemore... -
