In Car-Damn-Expensive Singapore, buy a small car like getz is good enough. Can go Genting and Up to thailand enough for me.
Be like me.. buy malaysia cars at less than 30K and park it at relative house,drive when i there after taking a bus.. No road tax, CoE etc. Damn fcukin cheap!

for having cars related to being rich, i dun really agree. One of my fren, who has been driving for 3 years, he was already in credit card debt when he buy the car, and he continue to spend more than he earn. The debt roll snow ball until 30K. In the end, his wife(was his gf, just married last year) helped him to clear for the credit card debt. But that's sort of "spend more than he earn" thing, not that he doesnt earn enuff. Cos if he doesnt earn enuff, he cant buy the car in the first place. My bro-in-law earns about the same as this fren, but he didnt choose to buy car, my sis and him save money together to buy house instead. They still travel around by MRT/bus, unless my dad go overseas they can drive my dad's car.
i also heard more than once about some fren's fren buy car, drive it for some time, then realise they cant really afford it, have to sell it, and lose more money.
But well, not ALL girls are like that. Not every girl in singapore are so pratical. At least my sis chose a guy who dont drive a car.
Those smart pratical girl, should aim for a guy who can buy a house together wtih, than to find a guy who owns a car, but no savings to buy house. -

actually my point is:
if those girls who ask " Does he have a car???" are practical. The are just pratcial with a very shallow view.
Those girls who are pratical and also smarter, should not bother about cars, bother about his saving, bother about how this guy manage himself(fianacially), which affects a girl's future more. -

I think I'm being practical by making sure my bf now husband don't spend money on a car, which is not a necessity. He can take my dad's car if we really need to use one
We can afford one, but still not buying one because it is cheaper and more convinient for us to take the public transport to work and if we really need to use the car, we'll just borrow from my dad. -
What if I don't have a car but own a fancily decorated East Coast apartment at 1k sq feet? Like that can intro or not?

I think that some girls are selfish enough to think that guys with cars are worth going after. They are shallow.
But, I do admire those girls who observe the way the guy spends his money. That is a very smart and right thing to do in my opinion.
No point dating a guy who is extravagant. Such men are not rich. And not knowing what to spend on guarantees poverty in the long run. -
Some girls like being driven around in cars, others like being "driven" in cars.
