  We all know the importance of savings. But with ever lowering interest rates, where are you parking your money?

  Talking about FD, heard from a friend in MIS, he even work in bank where he saw some account belong to big shot with special rate, more than normal rate! So if u have mil$$$ maybe can get some special rate from them

  Maybank offers interest at 2.38% p.a for their i-Savvy Savings account for amount > $5000. You might want to check it out.

  Current the best rates for FD is at Sing Investment and Finance.
  Think 3% or more but must be 10 k or what...
  Next is Singapura Finance.

  getting a loan also means more liabilities.
  
  hmm.. for easy withdrawal and daily expenses, i put in POSB. i put my savings in standard chartered e$saver and extra$aver accounts, coz more interest and flexible as in there's no minimum requirement and u can put any amount u are comfortable with. Fixed Deposit also in Standard Chartered. They are having 6 months promotional rate now for 50K deposit, you may want to go and find out.

  Stan Chart giving 3.08% for 50k FD, 6 mths promotional rate.
  
  OCBC giving 3.068% i think.

  For those who are interested in getting a higher return than the measly FD rates, you could consider investing in REITS or high yield stocks.
  
  Good REITS would be Capitamall trust, CDL H-REIT and Cambridge Industrial Trust.
  
  Some good high yield stocks would be SP Ausnet and MIIF.
  
  Warning, Im vested in all the reits and stocks as mentioned above.
