there will be one or 2 malay students lar...college section of HCI has a malay female student but she looks chinese...and most of them speak fluent chinese...better than some of us chinese lor

When i was in Nanyang, there is one other Indian girl.
She was in the papers because she spoke chinese and spoke of her experience where 2 chinese were bad mouthing her in chinese...
she gave them a good one.

In HCI(both college and high school) there are a few non-chinese students, but as someone pointed out, the most is a handful. Vice-president of the 2004 SC was a non-chinese(think he is a indian), now a SAF scholar.

actually i must say noth schools are damn good school.
it kind of hard for a lot of ppl to get in. not trying to be racist, is just if you are a clever malay, most likly you will go to school which you won't have such a culture shock.
imagine i am a smart bloke and my mum throw me into madrashah, then i think the post will be the other way round.
as for NS part, lets not target the malays, i mean if you were from other nationalities, they will take into consideration your background also. i mean security for the whole population of singapore is rather impt, rather be condemned as unfair military system than to be condemn as insecure military system right.... any way my CO when i was in 5SIR , LTC ,he is a malay. -
not sure if the madrashah pple no NS is true ..
but how do Malays see it? While they might delight in the exemption .. don't they see it as a sign of mistrust? -
