Why is it hard to report software piracy?

Was Curious as to how hard it can be to report software piracy here in SG.
2 weeks ago, I was with a friend who wants to shop for a game in Tampines.
We happened to pass by a pirate shop selling all kinds of PC/ Mp3/ PS2/ PSP/ Xbox/ Windows games & software item at a low price!
Being a good citizen, i took some photos with my mobile phone & went home intending to post this to the authorities.
But going to the websites, i found it impossible as websites from IPOS, BSA & techsource refuse to accept ppl reporting them.
Wonder why is it so?? Maybe the good moderaters/admin here can help ?

No. i was hoping the mods or Admin maybe can help to report the shop since they support anti-piracy stuffs.

you shd go to police station or email/call MS headoffice in singapore, MS have the fastest way to deal with them, believe me, one phonecall nia, police will fly cars to settle! -
i thought nowadays "all kinds of PC/ Mp3/ PS2/ PSP/ Xbox/ Windows games & software item at a low price" can be downloaded for free?

Police where got catch this type one? In fact, i ever see them after work also go 'support' leh!!!
This kind should go for commercial crimes type i think!
Anyway, the mods here are not some kinda online patrol police leh!

Marsiling got one shop, selling pirated versions of Windows "Longhorn". That was before MS renamed it to Vista.
Sold in the same packaging as pirated VCDs. MS Windows always got come with COA. -

Dun act smart la...
Why you report? Your family rich and you can afford "real" softwares that rips us, then good for you.
For peasants like us, we can only use pirated =)
Look at Microsoft Office 2007, worth 1k over....who can buy it(peasants)? I rather use OpenOffice etc...at least they are free. -
