JC first 3 months

as far as i know .....u need not choose ur course yet for this 3 months .u only need to state if u r taking sci or art course. so i want to know how does the school actually plan for the classes? is it they allocate according to the school the students belong previously? eg. pupils from the same sec school will be in the same class right? or is it base on MERIT?
someone plz clarify .thx.

Actually you choose your course (a.k.a. faculty or subject combination) on the first day of school.

Not sure whether they change it again but 2 yrs. ago one has to choose the subjects he/she wants to study after reporting to the jc. eg for Arts- it is Econs, Geog or History, Lit, GP & AO Maths.
Then the jc will put students in their respective classes based on their subject combination.
Also first 3 mths, lessons were conducted so don't play too much -
As u attend for PAE, they will ask u to choose a subject combi during the orientation period. Then they will plan out for u lor ...

first three months i played too hard and and i never got out of the pit.
slacking became a compulsive habit. i was so accustomed to it, to the extent that i brought over the same attitude i had in my first 3 months to my whole j1 year. needless to say i screwed up my common tests and promos big time. -

from what i heard the new principal was from vjc and tanjong katong sec..
someone i noe got b3 for his chinese o level.. he dun wanan retake.. but she forced him to retake.. int he end got b3 again.. -

hey, I couldn't make it to first 3 months, does it mean i will miss alot if i decided to go to JC (given my O level results is acceptable). And is it really 3 months now? Cause O level results release is quite early now.
