haha... dude.... Like what i say about decent/indencent men/girls.Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Hmm I am surprised that the talk here has been rather sensible and moderate... I was under the impression that racism might rear its ugly head once again.
Put put it briefly I find certain views, especially those of people like Xiaxue (when she blogs on this matter), while rather loud and vocal... betrays an immature understanding of the matter.
When we have poor workers who come here to make a living, in a country where they do not see their loved ones, have little rights, exposed to hard work for a thin salary... not to mention being tempted by all kinds of vices... I am not exactly surprised some might go down this path. People like Xiaxue should really be looking into the main issue of the thing and really thinking about what needs to be done instead of crying for a ban of certain groups of people during the holidays or for people to beat them up.
Of course, gentlemen should always defend the honour of a lady and if need be. But being a human being is so much more then that. I am not entirely content to lay all the blame on a few errant workers unless we as a soceity have treated and regarded them with the respect that they ought to have gotten.
Woah! U did a good job dude! Yeah, it seems like rather troublesome. But nevertheless you did a good job =)Originally posted by drumstick:It would feel right if someone stands up and help the damsel in distress.
But dun be like me.. ended up go police station make statement. Lolz..
Happened like 7 yrs ago. A drunked on board a bus which I took from parklane to AMK. A stupid drunkard keep disturbing everyone. Making a nuisance. The bus was like 70% full and people were standing & this joker got the nerve to disturb some of the female passenger. Feeling dulan with all his nonsense and seeing him disturbing the female passenger, told my fren to sit down & wait for me. Go up grabbed him by the collar and push him down to the floor and told him to stop his nonsense.
Damn suay, from last row came an off-duty police officer, show his ID card and ask if can help to escort him to the NPP. Went to AMK Npp, lagi suay, that drunkard has a lot of past records, drug addict, insubordination, hitting civil servant and not reporting to counciling for quite sometimes and the police are on the look out for him. Kuku , the mata handcuffed &send him from AMK Npp to AMK Police station and I tot I write my statement at NPP can liao.. But the stupid mata said got to go to Police station make statement with another IO.
Blardy co*k sia..
2 mths later came a thankyou letter from police and say that the idiot was charge in court and sentence to jail term.
This teach me... never try to be so stupid unless the situation is damn super bad then step up. Thats y normally I now bo chap liao.. lolz

Never see that you copy and pasted before I posted my replies.. haha..
Anyway, yeah, as others have been saying, we can't prevent some guys (who might be just plain despos) from staring at you (or other gals) even though if you are dressed with everything covered up properly. So whats the best thing gals can do in the event that ANY male is found staring at them?If in bus, inform the bus driver if it is convenient to do so.
Try to shift location to a place where there are more gals or a place where you think the guys are more decent or use them to "shield" yourself.
Always carry a jacket with you. (I like this one)
Go and confront the guy/ah peh/bangla/whoever. From what I believe, most of the times they will be damn scared one. lol
Ok the ones following below are jokes (i.e. not meant to be taken seriously, duh.)Show middle finger to the other person.
Whip out your phone and start talking in a manly voice!
Go nearer to the person, take out your phone and start saying into the phone something like "Hello, Police? I am being followed by a guy in the bus (or wherever). Confirm the guy will panic..
Anymore to add to either the "serious" or the "joke" list?? :p
Well... no off duty police would want to get involve with this type of situation. Go back got to write statement and report. Too much hassle.Originally posted by coolgeek84:Woah! U did a good job dude! Yeah, it seems like rather troublesome. But nevertheless you did a good job =)
But just a Thank You letter from Police? And how come the off duty police officer never stop the old man's nuisance himself?!

Ok, sorry la! How I know that you are not smart enough to get into the uni by urself. All my Singaporeans friends are not complaining that they are losing uni places becoz of FT like me you know.. -_- Becoz they got into uni based on their own merit. =)
I didn't "kope" your place. I won the place in a justified manner =) And did you know that Singaporeans are given priority to enter uni before even considering foreigners?
And Marco_Simone, those threads are from BAR. No need for me to further explain I assume..![]()
Hey guys, lets not high jack this thread anymore yeah? Please return to the main topic =)
