Hmmm.... So much for the notion that smokers earn more. Honestly I doubt smoking directly has a bearing on your earning capability.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:I always see old uncles doing that.![]()
so is our friend here gonna follow suit?Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:I always see old uncles doing that.![]()
You are too quick to conclude. From some studies, smoking and drinking will affect your earnings in a good way. They have more social capital that ppl who dun drink and smoke so have a good effect on their careers.Originally posted by SumOne:Hmmm.... So much for the notion that smokers earn more. If you're good at what you do, you're good. Whether or not you smoke is secondary.

Xiaodidi, if you want to know more about cigarettes, can always come n ask me. Ang hoon refers to those packets of tobacco leaves. So who wants to smoke have to wrap those leaves with paper. A cheap alternative which is popular among Malays.Originally posted by aku1b0d0:wad is ang hoon?

Well, just to be clear, weren't we talking about smoking? Not both smoking AND drinking? It boils back down to your ability to build up rapport and informal relationships with others. And you don't necessarily have to be a smoker to do that.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:You are too quick to conclude. I always smoke alone.Originally posted by SumOne:Just to repeat, ultimately smoke breaks, coffee breaks, tea breaks, game sessions, team building sessions are all just tools/avenues for interaction and to build links.
None of these methods are the definitive route and it ultimately depends on whether you have the ability to build ties with people in the first place.
